10 MONTHS, 10 PRINTS – A little pop-up sale
We all spent the last ten months in and out of lockdowns, experiencing restrictions of various severity, we didn’t travel, wore gloves and masks, washed our hands and food like never before (even the fruit with skins to peel off), we worked from our sofas, enjoyed happy hours on zoom, got emotionally closer as we were physically more distant, united by one invisible enemy.
This last year was different from all the other years before – and it’s not one I’m particularly sad to see go in a few weeks.
However, before this year is over, I decided that I, too, would have a little print sale with some images showing the lighter side of this past year.
All images are printed on super smooth Hahnemühle Photorag and I hope that they will delight you as much as they did delight me when I took them.
All prints are limited to an edition of 25 and measure 29 x 42 cm, including a white border.
This printsale is part of #artistsupportpledge which was set up to help artists during these unstable Corona-times.
The concept is simple and brilliant: Artists sell work for up to £200 and once they make sales of £1000 they commit to buy a piece of art from another artist for £200.
A further 20% of my profit will go to crisis.org.uk, to give homeless people in the UK a lovely Christmas at the end of a terrible year.

BOOKS and PRINTS
Sixty million people in the world today are refugees.
In 2015, more than 300,000 people relied on smugglers to take them across the Mediterranean to Europe. Syrians call this trip ‘the journey of death’ but having lost everything in their home
country it still seems their best option.
Who are those people that leave everything behind to embark on such a gruelling journey? What do they manage to take over into a new life and what do these items mean to them.
As humans we define ourselves not just by who we are but also by what we have. We give meaning to objects that exceeds their face value. Kiki Streitberger has asked refugees from Syria about the objects they had with them on the journey and in the process met some truly amazing people.
