Simon, 14, knows a lot about glass.
He made his first attempts at glass etching in his granddad’s factory when he was just nine years old – and now he is a student at the nearby high school for glass and he cuts intricate designs into colourful wine glasses all by himself.
The profession of the glass etcher has almost died out in Europe and in Austria, his family’s business is one of the last ones still active.
